Everyone has lost a pair of sunglasses to a lake, a river, or the bottom of a boat. BOYNT exists so that stops happening.
I'm Zach, a senior Entrepreneurship student at Messiah University, and I'm raising funds for BOYNT LLC. BOYNT makes polarized sunglasses with frames that float, in three styles: The Classics, The Drifters, and The Currents. Our frames are polypropylene, and our lenses are polarized UV400. This spring, BOYNT took second place at Messiah's Impact Venture Challenge.
This month we ran a Kickstarter. It came up short, and a lot of people told us they couldn't even check out because Kickstarter requires an account. So we're here, where anyone can give in two clicks.
Here's the honest part: we haven't made our first real samples yet. To do that, we need the equipment and tooling to mold our frames. The full cost is about $15,000, and this first $10,000 gets us most of the way there.
BOYNT is being featured on the Dona Drake Show this Saturday, and if you found us there, welcome. Every dollar goes toward getting real BOYNT sunglasses into the water. I'll post every step here, from tooling quotes to the first float test.
If you want to back a student founder and help me take this next step with BOYNT, I would be truly grateful. Thank you for your support and for sharing this fundraiser.
