Boyd and Shauna have lived in Lanigan their entire lives. They have made this community home along with their children Eric, and Kaitlin. For many years Boyd has suffered from unexplained uncontrolled pain, joint stiffness, numbness, brain fog and fatigue.
He has now reached the point where the pain and numbness is overwhelming in his joints, neck, and limbs. He is without relief from any treatments or medications that have been prescribed to him. The muscles around his organs, and joints have become so tight, making him at times immobile and can make breathing difficult. These symptoms have drastically increased and are greatly affecting Boyd’s activities of daily living and quality of life.
Despite meeting with numerous specialist and undergoing extensive testing and various treatments within Saskatchewan he remains without a clear diagnosis or effective treatment options.
At the suggestion of one of his specialists Boyd submitted his health records to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester for review. Upon completion of the review he was offered an appointment in General Internal Medicine. They have been provided with an itinerary, for testing, evaluations and consultations beginning on Nov. 29. 2018.
