Hayling Island Donkey Sanctuary is a small independent sanctuary that provides a safe home for ex-working and abused donkeys. Over the last nine years, we were lucky enough to have a little donkey called Boycey retire with us after working most of his life on the beach giving children rides. During this last year, he has had several medical conditions for us to manage including recent emergency hospital visits where he was diagnosed with cancer. We sadly lost him on Valentine's Day and he has been sorely missed by all that new him.

This has been a heavy drain on our resources particularly when added to the cost of caring for several other elderly donkeys at the sanctuary needing specialised care.

Since the new year we have received vet bills alone exceeding £10,000 and are looking to raise funds to contribute towards these and allow us to continue with our work. Anything you are able to contribute will be greatly appreciated.
