HELLO! My name is Ella and I am making a short film called Boy Parts. This film is about a cult of women and non-binary people who kill men who have committed extremely horrible acts surrounding sexual assault. They have created this cult as a platform for other survivors to come together and seek out revenge on those who have wronged them. And to add a fun little twist to an already gruesome synopsis, the cult EATS the men when they are done killing them. Bring on the madness!!
I want this film to help create a safe space for survivors and know that we are not alone. It is important for women and non-binary people to understand that they have support. This film is also queer and my hope is for it to shed light onto gender equality and sexuality.
The big challenge here is successfully executing all of the steps needed to make a short film. From pre-production to post, there are always errors that can arise, especially without enough money to back the project. That's where you come in! In order to bring the film to the market we need to build an audience, or at least demonstrate that we have an audience by attracting followers on social media. We also need enough money to apply to festivals in order to gain distribution. Plus, we have lots of fun bloody scenes and special effects that require a good amount of money. We have an incredible team of passionate filmmakers who are ready to propel this film out into the world. Please share with anyone you think might be interested.
