Boy in critical care, needs medical funding.
Donation protected
Tushar Pisal (Gopiya) was for most of his life a homeless boy on the streets of Panchgani, India.
He was 14 when he showed up to our house looking for a place to live, my parents took him in for 4 years, he took my bed as i had long moved out and shared my room with my little brother.
In 2021, the family moved back to Canada. We left him with work, another family to care for him. Our community back home and my family continued to financially support his therapy and medication.
As a teen, he inherited his mother's schizophrenia, adult onset, and was doing well taking his medication. When he stopped taking his meds he had an episode and attempted to take his own life by taking poison, and he is fighting for his life in ICU in Pune, India.
He is on a plasma treatment for his liver and needs financial support to cover his hospital bill.
UPDATE: he is on ventilation and needs funds for a liver transplant, we have been given 2 days.
UPDATE: this morning we received a CT scan report indicating brain death, he was taken off life support this afternoon, may he rest in peace. Thank you all for your support.
