Hi, I’m Ali Lai-Carlyle an elite female amateur boxer proudly selected to represent New Zealand at the 2025 Boxing World Championships in Liverpool, England from September 4-14.

In the lead up to this prestigious event, I’ve been invited to a two week international training camp in Scotland where I’ll train and prepare alongside some of the world’s top athletes and coaches. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to sharpen my skills and bring my very best to the world stage.

While I’ve received some generous support from Boxing NZ and valued sponsors, the reality is that a large portion of this journey is self-funded. The total cost is around $12,000 covering flights, accommodation, tournament fees, training, and other essential expenses that come with competing internationally. I’m aiming to raise $9000 to help cover my share and make this dream a reality.
