Boxer's Firewalk

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page for Ringside Charitable Trust and we hope you will help us support this brilliant charity designed to help ex-boxers. Unlike most sports boxing is by and large without any support structures in place for when a boxer's career is over, and many former fighters pay a heavy price physically and psychologically for the entertainment they gave to their fans in the hardest sport of all. Most people with even a passing acquaintance with boxing can name at least one former participant who is currently struggling, and when you consider the money that boxing generates - particularly at the highest level of the sport - the current lack of care is indefensible.

Ringside Charitable Trust aim to establish a thirty-six bed care home facility to provide the support far too many ex-boxers desperately need. On Saturday July 9th we will be walking over burning hot coals in Portsmouth's Guildhall Square and so far we've a whopping thirty-two people on the team and we expect this number to grow further. A professional company, Firewalk UK, has been commissioned to run the event for us, and all the team members are paying the eighty pounds fee themselves so every penny raised without exception goes to Ringside. We hope to make this a hugely successful event and would urge you to support us, as

even the smallest donations are very important to us.
