Extinction Rebellion Boxes

Dear Rebels, From October 7th onwards, Extinction Rebellion will be creating large movable structures from flat-pack sustainable FSC timber boxes. Each box is 60cm x 60cm x 30cm, and can be easily carried by one person. It's BYOB (Bring Your Own Box!) When the boxes are connected together, they form a single large structure. When they need to be moved, they can be quickly disconnected, and moved to another site. When stacked in different configurations, they can be also used for seating, storage, shelter, or green walls/planting, and have attachment points built in.  This is not just a stunt - it is an idea for how we could build in the future: circular-economy thinking instead of large concrete megastructures.  Each box costs £7.50 for materials to make on a CNC cutter, and is strong, lightweight, durable, zero waste, and fun to use. They are designed and made here in the UK, and Extinction Rebellion have been given free licence and cutting costs to make them. You can decorate each one with your own personal XR message or artwork, or come together in groups to make a larger message across several boxes, before adding them to the structure.
