Hello, my name is Chase and my partner Jamie are reaching out today because our fur baby Bowser had a terrible health problem. We are hoping to raise funds to help us pay for Bowser’s medical expenses.

Bowser is an almost 6 year old Cane Corso mix we got from our neighbor, I hand picked him the day he was born, and have been our little adventure buddy since then. His favorite activities include being in lakes, either it be swimming, standing or just laying in a lake. Hiking with us everywhere and road trips. He loves camping adventures and always keeps us warm and cozy while he cuddles up beside us in the tent.

10 days ago our lives turned upside down, what started as a routine day of letting him out in the back yard to do his business turned into 9 days of unsure hell. Little to our knowledge was that a local skunk had got into the garbage and spread it out into the back yard, in which Bowser got into. He consumed a delicious bacon package wrapper that was soaked in bacon fat, which caused severe pancreatitis and swelling in his GI tract. Those that have ever experienced this with a fur baby will know that this was a life or death situation. We acted quick and we pulled together, and he’s finally on the road to recovery after nearly 10 days in the Animal ER.

We are truly grateful for the team at Canada West Veterinary specialists that worked around the clock to save our little Adventure Pup. But are really disheartened at the exuberant costs of being in the ER for 10 days.

We have never done a public funding request before, but we are hoping that you may help us as we struggle with the aftermath of this event. Bowser deserves to live a full life of exploring and playing in the mountains, lakes and rivers.

Your generosity will help us recover some of the costs that have accumulated and some of the ongoing future health checks and visits that will follow his release from the ER.
