Hello dearest friends and family, as some of you may know we've been working away on a short film for the past 12 months! We are now in the final stages of production and we’re almost ready to shoot!
The story
We're proud to present Bowerbird, a short film that touches on social anxieties, adolescent infatuations and mental wellbeing. Set in country Victoria, this is a story about a young man's struggle with loneliness and the resulting formation of an unruly imagination.
The Crew
Our team includes Hamish MacGregor (Director), Sophie Booth (Writer), Annie Thiele (Producer), Marcus Cropp (Director of Photography). We're ambitious...and with our combined love of film and collective experience we're hoping to create the best film possible - not only to share with you lovely people, but to hopefully to present to festival audiences too. Up to this point, with the help of our team, we've been able to self-fund the project and gather the resources needed to shoot.
The Cast
It was super important to us that the characters be played by passionate, talented and well suited actors so we took our time in casting. Our key cast are a lovely bunch of humans with great chops and experience in short films, features and theatre.

Which brings us to the here and now - with a little extra help, we'll be able to add the necessary bells and whistles that will elevate the production to a standard we can all be proud of. We wouldn’t ask you to do anything we wouldn’t, so our target amount of $5K will match what we ourselves are putting.
