Hi, my name is Naomi and I am starting this fundraiser to help keep my best little mate Bowen mobile and enjoying the things he loves.

Bowen is a 12 year old boy who was diagnosed with Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy or DMD at a young age. Unfortunately DMD is a disorder characterised by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. It can’t be cured but we can help Bowen,

HERE IS THE PROBLEM

Bowen is set to receive an essential new power chair very soon that will be life changing for him. It will be far more comfortable and safer for him as the muscles are getting weaker and sitting in his current chair and in the car is becoming uncomfortable and unsafe.

HOWEVER he needs a car that can be modified for him to simply drive his power chair into.

Let’s help keep that big cheeky smile on this boys face and get him a new car so he can keep enjoying trips away and his hydrotherapy sessions which are 55km away. It will also be essential for everyday things such as travelling to school, medical appointments which are many times a year in Melbourne!!

Bowen lives in a very small town where the population is less than 600 and no public transport!
