Last Friday mum and dad lost their home in the Bobin bush fire. We are heartbroken. This was not only a home. It had a life, and grew with mum and dad as they created their family. Us four kids, our friends and friends of friends were all nurtured by this place at Bobin. It was a part of all of our hearts and it’s so painful to see this shelter on the ground. Mum and dad put everything into this place. Dad built it using the earth, the mud, the wood from his surrounds. He sourced, recycled, and artistically created a museum of nik-naks, memories, music, art and love. The house was an account of mum and dad’s adventurous life, and it has disappeared, disintegrated before their eyes. So many have lost their homes in these fires, and are picking through the fragmented pieces to try and keep going, and move forward. Mum and dad need some help. If you could spare them something, it will go a long way to help them recover from such an awful trauma. All dad ever wanted was to create a warm home for his family, his friends, the travellers, those in need, the wildlife, the insects, the trees, the soil. And he has lost it for now. I hope somehow we can help him rebuild his confidence, his passion for the wilderness and his light. Boum Boum
