Bottom Surgery Repair Fund

So, here's the TL;DR of what's happening. I have been working with my surgical team recently to repair my vaginoplasty after some complications arose following the initial surgery last fall. I'm at the point where I can finally get my labiaplasty - a necessary second phase following vaginoplasty - but have received a notice from my surgical center saying that they need a payment of ~$1,300 by the 21st of July in order to not release my appointment.

I'm not going to give too many specifics as to why this specific repair/procedure is necessary. Trust me, you don't want the details. The really barebones of it, though, is that my current situation has resulted in constant nerve overstimulation and non-stop vaginal discharge and bleeding. These are things that we're hoping to repair with this upcoming surgical intervention.

However, the current timeline has given me less than a month to scrounge up over a thousand dollars so that I can get this essential care aimed at repairing and finalizing this process. Pushing the surgery back is not a realistic option.

I wouldn't be bothering with a GFM if I had other options, but at this point I feel like I'm up a creek without a paddle. My options are to either fundraise or put this medical debt onto a high interest credit card, which will simply sink me into a even worse position than I'm in right now.

I've set my goal for this fundraiser at $1500. This amount will cover the surgery cost and give me a little bit of wiggle room, which I'll be using to cover transportation and lodging for this out-of-town procedure.

If you are able to give, know that it's appreciated and will make a meaningful difference in my life.

I'm currently in a financial hole, but I have a clear plan to climb out of this. It just takes time and that time keeps getting extended as medical bills pop up one at a time. On top of this current demand for payment, I have two other medical establishments who are each trying to get $600 from me. I also have legal bills from my pending divorce, which are keeping me from finding my footing as well as I'd like now that I'm having to relearn how to survive on my own. I've been deferring all of these bills for as long as possible, but the piper eventually demands his due. These are out of scope for the current GFM campaign, but I feel like they're worth noting in trying to paint a picture of where I'm at.

Thanks for reading. Thanks for the help. If you're in Washington, support initiative 1362 and other initiatives that will work to reduce the degree to which healthcare is able to ruin people financially.
