"3 life long friends share a drink for the last time as one sets off to university to chase their dream, possibly leaving the other two behind..."

Hello! My name is Eric and I am working on a short film with 2 other actors, Sara and Emily to create a short film. We need some money for production design elements for our short film. We are currently doing a module where we need to create a short film/scene for our showreels. The scene is around 3 minutes and focuses on Ren who is leaving London to study far away, Albert and Sarah, Ren's lifetime long friends trying to console and encourage him.

This story matters to us because it relates to us deeply as university students who have dreams of making it big in the industry, 2 of us had to leave small towns to move to London in pursuit of this dream. What makes this unique is that we as students are driving the narrative around a student focused short film thus it's very real.

We are currently in pre production now expecting to be shooting on the 4th April.

We have the equipment, a cinematographer and director and sound operator as well as the location for the day. This is provided for free from our university.

The script has been completed and the writer, I have reached out to and has given me consent to film this.

Our budget will be spent on things such as set dressing, confetti ( £3 ), red solo cups (£2.50), streamers (£3), balloons (£2) and other props as well as potential costume elements such as silly party hats (£3) . These things come cheap, which is why our goal is low, but we still wanted to make sure that we had some room if things were out of stock and needed to be bought at a slightly higher price. So far the minimal total for the set dressing comes out to £10.50

The shoot day is the the 4th of April and we will be dressing the set that day with the things we buy using this budget, which is why our end goal is on the 3rd. The term ends on the 10th April and by then our university will give us the footage to edit by the end of the month. I will be editing it and the cost of that is free because I have access to university software. Currently we are rehearsing and working on pre-production elements which should be finished by April 1st.
