Amelia's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
On September 9, 2011 I was blessed with 2 beautiful twin girls, named Baylee and Amelia. After being induced and 4 long days of labor they were finally ready to arrive, but during delivery Amelia's heartrate dropped and I had to have an emergency C-section. Amelia was born one minute ahead of Baylee and she wasn't breathing. It took the doctor's 12minutes to resucitate her. Those few minutes have completely flipped our world upside down. Amelia was rushed to Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago to be put on a cooling blanket to stop any brain damage from furthering.  She was ventilated, having seizures, and they were having a hard time keeping her blood pressure up.  At 2 days old, while I was still admitted at Rush University Hospital in Chicago, I recieved a phone call saying that Amelia probably wouldn't make it through the night. I was temporarily discharged so I could go see her and have her baptised. She pulled through but at 10 days old the doctors called me in and advised me to pull the ventilator because there was nothing else they could do for Amelia. They said she would never breathe on her own, she would have to have a trach, she would never cry, and have no quality of life. As a mother I couldn't bare to make that decision and at this point I still hadn't held my baby in my arms. I put my faith in God and decided that if she was meant to be taken, I would not be the one to make that decision. At 17 days old I held her for the first time and I knew I had made the right choice. At 30 days old her ventilator was removed and she has breathed on her own ever since. She never needed a trach, she cried for the first time at 3 months old which was music to my ears, and although she has many many problems she has been a fighter and surpassed every obstacle that the doctor's said she wouldn't. After 6 months in the Neonatal Instensive Care Unit we were able to bring Amelia home. This year Baylee and Amelia will be 3 years old. Amelia still has seizures, shes severely disabled, shes completey fed through a g-tube, and will never be able to walk. I am not one to ask for help but with all of Amelia's medial expenses I am reaching out for donations. She will need a special carseat soon, which ranges anywhere from $1,000-$5,000, she will need a wheelchair along with a special van to load the wheelchair into, a special shower chair, and many other medical necessities. Her doctors are 2 hours away in Chicago which causes me to spend a lot of money in gas because of her frequent appointments and hosptial admissions. She also has therapy twice weekly and chronic pneumonia so she is sick very often which forces me to miss more work than I would like to especially with all of her medical expenses. I work full time but as Amelia is getting older her expenses are expanding. Even the smallest donation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone in advance!!
