It is with a heavy heart that we reach out to our community to help us support the family of one of our officers who died in the line of duty.
Officer Jonathan Shoop started his law enforcement career at the Bothell Police Department on June 3rd, 2019 after serving in the United States Coast Guard. Jonathan was a dedicated officer who served the City of Bothell with professionalism and compassion. He was an officer who did the right things for the right reasons. Jonathan understood that being a police officer was a calling and he did his best to fill the role.
Jonathan was well liked amongst his peers and throughout the community. Jonathan was a bright officer with a good sense of humor and was a great addition to our organization. Officer Jonathan Shoop will be dearly missed.
Jonathan is survived by his girlfriend, his mother, and his two brothers. All of the donations will be used to support the family and assist with unplanned expenses.
