Connor’s Boston University Tanglewood Experience

Hello everyone! My name is Connor Ainsworth, and I am blessed to have been accepted to Boston University Tanglewood Institute for eight weeks this summer as a percussionist. (BUTI is a premier summer training program for young musicians ages 14 to 20 and is located in Lenox, Massachusetts. Because of their unique relationship with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, I'll have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn from some of the most outstanding music professionals and teachers worldwide.) Over the summer, I'll be participating in both the Percussion Workshop and the Young Artists Orchestra.

 

Music performance has been my passion for as far back as I can remember. I have been privileged to be able to share my God-given talent and love of music in church (Harmony Hill Baptist Church Orchestra), in my community (East Texas Youth Orchestra and East Texas Symphonic Band), and in my school (as percussionist and drum major).
