Thanks to a few incredibly generous donors, Boston Meditation Center is the official owner of a brick-and-mortar space!
With your help, our sangha will have a new, permanent home at 440 Somerville Ave. in Somerville's Union Square. Construction is due to begin by August.
As a traditionally Buddhist organization, BMC runs entirely off of the donations and generosity of our community. That means, we're looking to our community to help turn this space into a meditation center.
We've done the math and so far it's going to take at least $19,500 to buy everything we need.
Here are a few ways you can help:
Donate $1000 to pay for an audio system for the hearing impaired Donate $500 to pay for the center's Buddha statue Donate $115 to pay for a meditation cushion set Donate $50 to pay for a bell Donate $30 to pay for a meditation blanket
As a very special thanks, donate $100 or more and we'll gift you with free admission to a half-day meditation retreat or workshop in the new center after we open.
We're aiming to open in late Fall of 2019. The space will have a meditation hall, a lobby / tea room, a small kitchen, an office for guiding teacher Chris Crotty to meet with students, and an administrative office.
We'll be sure to keep you updated every step of the way.
Thank you so much for your support. Our sangha is the heart and soul of everything that we do.
