from Brooke:
Everything went great this morning, Blood transfusion and dialysis. Boston still has a long road ahead but he’s already making progress.
He hasn’t wanted to do anything but lay down and sleep for about a week...and today he just told me “mom, I’m bored. Can I play my video game?” So I cried and gave him his game. This is a huge deal for me.
Posting a picture just so I can look back one day and Thank God again for all his goodness.

From Brooke:

Boston will have a blood transfusion this morning before dialysis. Please pray that there are no complications with this.

He’s proven to me and Ryan just how tough he his the last couple days.

From Brooke:

It’s been a long day. Started out with a procedure to place the vascath. Since he was so dehydrated his veins are small and they hit an artery in the process, this caused some swelling, they are watching this closely, and already looks so much better. He is bruised from it though. First round of dialysis is now done. He is extremely sore and actually cried for the first time today and asked for pain meds.

He will need some blood but right now they are trying to wait until the morning before more dialysis. They are watching him closely, if things change and he needs blood sooner we will do it tonight.

We continue to trust God.

Please continue to pray for my little Boss Man.

From Brooke:

It’s early, plans changed a little last night. Labs at 8 pm came back with little change so they decided to give Boston a night of rest. He has been begging for a drink for 2 days now and since we didn’t start dialysis yet he finally got one. He had 2 apple juice boxes. However, As soon as he drank them he threw up. Boston, Ryan and I all got as much rest as possible.

Now for today, at 7am they will be taking Boston back and out under so they can place the vascath and line. Please pray for a safe procedure. It should take about an hour, then when he returns we will start dialysis.

Boston has been a champ this whole time. From the minute we entered the ER in Lubbock to an ambulance ride, first flight ever , and now here being moved to PICU. He has asked many questions but not once complained.

I keep telling him that God already knows exactly what is going on and that he is well taken care of.

Thank you again for all the donations and prayers. We are blessed!

from Brooke:
The number for creatinine went up again and it’s enough that she wants us to start dialysis, so we are going to be moving down to icu. Nurses are hoping for a couple days and then see where we are.
Ryan and I have been amazed at the staff here, we know without a doubt this is where we need to be right now.
Please keep praying. Thank you all so much we can never thank you enough.

6/30/2021 - 1:20PM
from Brooke:
Boston will have more labs done at 2:00. He needs all of his numbers to balance out a little. Some need to go up and some need to go down. And platelets need to go up Boston is only at 49 and 150 is normal.
If nothing changes or not enough progress with this lab determines our next move of dialysis.

6/30/2021 - 11:15AM

Specific prayer request: Please pray for Boston’s platelet number go up at his 2:00 lab work. We need these to go up! Thank you for all the prayers and support... Boston and each of us are truly blessed.

from Brooke:
We got in a room at 5:45 this morning. Ryan made it about 3:00. Kidneys look good which is great news but still not functioning well at all. Doctor will be by around 9:30 they said. Hopefully we’ll know more then.

6/30/2021 - 1:30AM

Boston and Brooke make it out of Lubbock and safely made it to Cooks and got checked in. At this time she didn’t have any updates.

6/29/2021 -10PM

Boston has been sick for a few days and is currently @ UMC Lubbock awaiting a care flight to Cooks Children’s. Boston has an infection and his kidneys are not functioning as they should. Please pray for the Browns and Boston as they travel to DFW to get answers and endure this journey. Pray for strength and healing for Boston and their family.
