Bosnia Schools Appeal - struggling with apartheid
10 years ago Bedford Muslims responded to an article in the Financial Times written by Sue Norris and Olivia Arthur, highlighting the massive disparity between how Christian and Muslim children were treated, and the schools they were taught in. Our children are deprived daily of basic equipment, facilities, life chances and this erodes their confidence and happiness.
With schools for Bosniak Muslim children being deprived of basic facilities compared with schools for Catholic children, shockingly, often right next door to each other like the Travnik High School with its well-kept blue side for Catholics and run-down side for Bosniak Muslims!
WE HAVE HELPED BOSNIAN CHILDREN BEFORE
May Allah (swt) bless all of your efforts in the past, as over this past decade literally thousands of children have been helped from the support that we delivered in 2010 to Vitez, - a real ‘Sadaka Jaria’ from your donations and support.

PLEASE HELP THEM AGAIN NOW
This year 2020, marks the 10th anniversary of our first successful appeal, we want to double the previous assistance and assist 4 schools with IT equipment and teaching aids Insha’Allah. We want to help improve Bosniak Muslim children’s chances in life and show them that the Ummah cares for them and they are part of a loving family.
With your support, we managed to help two schools in 2010, including the children in Vitez. This time, we aim to help 4 schools inshaAllah.
If you honour this cause with your support, please be confident that:
1. all funds will be managed and distributed by a UK registered Charity BIET #1160137, and a full audit trail will be maintained to comply with Charities Commission reporting
2. We will produce an update after the IT equipment and teaching aids have been delivered, sharing with you how the donations were used to support the education of Bosnian children
3. We will honour your wishes to donate for Sadaka Jaria or for Zakat. Please make sure that you distinguish between any normal donations for this project which will be 'Sadaka Jaria' : mark them as ‘Bosnia.’ If you wish to give Zakat, then please clearly mark the donation as ‘BosniaZakat’ in the comments field. Donations without any markings will be handled as Sadaka Jaria.
On behalf of all of the Bosnian Muslim children who will benefit, and their parents who face extended hardships, we thank you for your support, may Allah bless you and your famillies.
