Bo’s Medical Treatment and Recovery

Sadly, last Friday, our sweet five year old Bo was in a near drowning event in Destin, Florida. With God‘s healing hands, her mother (the strongest woman I know) was able to provide CPR to resuscitate and save Bo. However, Bo developed acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) following the incident requiring extensive respiratory support.

Her healing journey thus far has included multiple ambulance transfers, emergency room stays, helicopter transfers (with a wonderful flight team) and currently PICU here in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Now the tough fight begins for her long road to full recovery. Bo needs her family’s loving care around the clock. Her amazing physicians, nurses and healthcare providers have implemented care using ventilators, specialized tube feedings, respiratory therapy care, x-rays and various IV medication.

Friends and love ones want to help alleviate some of the burden that her health care, both current and future, will require.
