Hello, I’m Bo Lysyj, and I’m here to deliver the latest, most effective device asked for by first responders in Ukraine- a hemostatic device that injects tiny sponges into the pumping wound, and stops the bleeding. This device is instantly effective, life-saving first aid, and I can deliver it, personally, in-hand, to Kyiv.
I am a first-generation US Ukrainian, son of refugees who were displaced by that other war in Ukraine in the 1940’s. Born and raised in Minneapolis, I grew up with a connection to Ukraine through language, art, and culture. Being fluent in the language helped me navigate visits to Ukraine as it emerged post-USSR, both for work and more recently for various volunteer tours.
I have worked as a volunteer at summer camps in Ukraine from 1995-2001, where we taught life skills to Ukrainian orphans, preparing them for life outside of their state-run boarding school.
In four trips to Ukraine since Feb 2022 I have provided humanitarian support for Ukrainian refugees traveling through Poland to their next safe place. I have escorted interested parties to the Ukrainian border and further- players in medical support systems, food security, drone services, peace and conflict studies, and urban reconstruction. And I have travelled to Kyiv solo with various requested wares for citizen soldiers, and with donations to be hand-delivered to various entities and civic networks within Ukraine. (see me on Insta at blysblys22)
This next trip is in support of first responders, and I plan on purchasing in the USA and delivering to Kyiv a minimum of $10,000 worth of XSTAT-12 injectable hemostatic devices , designed to quickly stop the bleeding of deep wounds caused by various shrapnel and other mayhem. Each XSTAT-12 unit costs nearly $100. One hundred of these can save one hundred lives- mothers, fathers, daughters, sons, parents, children.
These devices will be delivered by me, in Kyiv, directly to a humanitarian and medical aid distribution network consisting of a group of artists, authors, actors, poets, and musicians. These citizens trained as field medics when the war initially broke out in 2014. I was introduced to this network in 2022, in meeting a theater director while volunteering in Warsaw. In every case the wares that I delivered to them were ultimately seen in the hands of those who needed them most. This is not an NGO (no overhead!) and for security reasons I refrain from further particulars of this civic network. Know that the shortest, quickest path for your $$$ to that gaping bleeding wound is in donating to this cause today. I launch late June and deliver in July.
Please donate. These devices save lives $100=1 life
