Hello everyone,

My name is Jesse Mary, and I’m reaching out with the most humbling request I’ve ever had to make.

On August 13th, 2025, at 9:54 PM, my beautiful daughter Helena Sofia Mary-Lopez came into this world—11 weeks earlier than expected. Her arrival was sudden, terrifying, and completely life-changing. While Helena is a fighter and receiving the best possible care in the NICU, her early birth has brought on unexpected emotional, medical, and financial challenges that I simply wasn’t prepared for.

As a now single father, I’ve had to take time away from work to be by Helena’s side during these critical first weeks. Missing work means missing pay, and with hospital bills mounting, everyday expenses piling up, and a long road ahead before Helena can come home, I’m struggling to keep up.

I’ve created this GoFundMe to ask for your help. Any contribution—big or small—will go directly toward:

• Medical bills and NICU expenses (if any are left unpaid by insurance)

• Essential supplies for Helena’s care

• Rent, utilities, and food during this difficult time

• Transportation to and from the hospital daily

• A safe and stable environment for Helena when she finally comes home
