Hi, my name is Hayat (Arabic for "Life").

I came into this world far too soon, born prematurely at just 25 weeks. My twin brother was with me for only an hour before he left this world. He was older than me for a few minutes (or so I am told, but I say we were twins!)

Every moment since my birth has been a battle for survival. For the past three months, I have been fighting for my life in the ICU, surrounded by these giant scary machines, and the unwavering love of my parents, though they cant reach me. They have given up everything they own to keep me here, to give me a chance. But now, they are struggling, and the weight of medical expenses is becoming unbearable to carry.

It breaks my heart to see their tears, I can feel their worry from afar.

I can't touch them, but I want them to know I am here, and I am fighting. I am the hope of Life.

I have to be in these machines for two more months, and with your kindness and generosity, you can help me continue this fight. Every little bit brings me closer to the day I can go home, where I belong, with my parents, in their arms, surrounded by love.
