Borehole (water well) project for Gambia,Africa

Fundraiser update: We have gathered by the grace of Allah first and foremost, then by the charitable donations coming from everywhere, approximately 45,000 dollars. The initial goal set was 100,000 which is for 20 boreholes (water wells) but even though the goal has been decreased , the need for boreholes is so great that we just have to keep working on this project. What matters is that every borehole dug benefits 100's and 1000's of people.

Push for the future is a nonprofit organization set up in America with the receiving counterpart in Gambia,  a country located on the west coast of Africa. 75 percent of the population are farmers who live in villages and  rely on agriculture and livestock for sustenance, and the majority of these villages do not have clean, accessible water. They have to travels miles and miles everyday in the scorching heat to get water. 11 boreholes have already been completed and this project is being initiated to raise money for 20 more boreholes. A charitable donor has already purchased the solar panels needed for these solar panels (no electricity) and this has brought the price for each borehole to 5000 dollars. 20 boreholes will be 100,000 dollars which may seem a lot, but this project is targeting a large audience through social media in order for the goal to be met with many people giving relatively small amounts. Water is life, and 20 boreholes will give life to approximately 15,000 people.
