THE STORY
I grew up in Nigeria where my mum struggled to afford football boots for me. I wore one pair until they literally fell apart. When we couldn't afford another pair, my football dreams started to fade, not from lack of talent, but lack of access to basic equipment.
Now I'm in Sheffield, and I see a completely different reality. Kids outgrow boots every season. Perfectly good boots sit unused in cupboards while talented kids in Nigeria play with worn out boots or barefoot.
So I started Boots Bridge : A direct connection between Sheffield and Nigeria.
WHAT WE DO
- Collect used football boots from Sheffield families and clubs
- Ship them directly to trusted coaches, schools and community organizations in Nigeria
- Buy affordable NEW boots when needed
- Track every pair and share the impact with our supporters
WHY WE NEED DONATIONS
While we collect boots for FREE, getting them to Nigeria costs money:
- Shipping containers to Nigeria: ~£800-1,200 per shipment
- Buying new boots locally in Nigeria: £10-15 per pair
- Collection materials (boxes, labels, transport): £50-100
- Website and admin costs: £100-200
Every £10 = one pair of new boots for a Nigerian kid
Every £100 = shipping costs for 50+ pairs of used boots
Every £1,000 = a full container shipment changing 500+ lives
100% TRANSPARENCY
I am not a faceless organization. I'm one person with a personal mission, building this from the ground up. Every penny raised goes directly to boots and shipping. I will share photos, receipts, and updates showing exactly where your money goes.
This is about giving kids the opportunity I wish I'd had.
