Car Boot-Be-Gone
Donation protected
I may have been dancing and smiling in those Carnival photo’s yesterday but the truth is I was having a horrible day. My son’s flight got in earlier that afternoon and when we returned to the car in the airport parking lot, there had been a boot placed on my vehicle.

I was beyond frustrated and sad, but still had to get it together and perform with my team (#TeamJamaica) at the Windy City Carnival and I did not want to let my team down. So I wiped my tears, fixed my face, got dressed in the airport bathroom.

(Salty face)
My joke-cracking father was kind enough to grab the little one and I (and all of our bags) and drop us off in time to join my team .

My car is still at the airport with the boot on it. I am eligible for a payment plan, but I must first put down roughly $800 (25% of overall balance) to have the boot removed in addition to paying the airport parking fees since it is in their lot (which is $60/day at Midway). I know some folks are probably like ‘well you should be more responsible, you only get a boot if you have tickets’ which is true. However, without going too much into my personal business, the excessive overall amount comes from and ex who ran up over $3k worth of tickets on my car and I didn’t know until after the relationship had ended because he would throw them away as he got them. I absolutely HATE asking for help, but I realize in this moment I need it.
So instead of being too proud and sulking the day away, I am asking that you help me to get back mobile again. All and ANY donation is appreciated and very needed as I am still a single mother with school starting for the little one very soon.
Thank you all.
