Bino, Chelsea, and Gabby are champs at coping with the hardships of cancer, but they need a boost. They’ve been loving, working, and even smiling through their stage-four challenge for over two years now, and even with fantastic support from family and friends, it’s tough. As grateful as we are for how the treatment blocks more metastases, Chelsea’s side effects are significant, and her daily life is laced with nausea, fatigue, and pain. It’s hard for both Bino and Chelsea to find the space and energy to process their suffering and loss. Their resources go first to answering the demands of the cancer, and not enough is left to refill their cups with comfort, rest, play, and care.

Although it should have, Chelsea’s diagnosis didn’t come with a therapy fund to help them process their grief and suffering, a vacation fund so they can rest, play, and connect as a family, an expense fund for the ancillary costs of treatment, or a care fund for the comfort measures and extra help that are so needed.

Chelsea’s diagnosis didn’t come with that fund, but that doesn’t mean we can’t create one! Cancer asks a lot of them, and so it’s time to rebalance the input-output ratio and ensure they get the care they need.
