Hi there, we are The JMU Black Ties! James Madison University's newest mixed acapella group.
Established in 2023, our current rep primarily consists of jazz standards, 70s/80s classics, and indie artists.
With your donation, you would support us by helping us:
- Fund semester solo concerts: Purchasing decorations, sound crew, and photographers
- Support auditions and callbacks: Purchasing decorations for our audition and callback rooms as well as treats for our callback goody bags and gift baskets for new members.
- Create merchandise: Printing and shipping JMU Black Ties merchandise like t-shirts, sweatshirts, and pants for our current members, community, and future group members.
- Purchase music: Purchasing sheet music or commissioning arrangements by up-and-coming arrangers.
- Purchasing graduation regalia: Next year we will have our first graduating class of Ties. We want to purchase either stoles or cords for them to wear as they graduate.
- Fund future endeavors and goals: EP and East Coast Tour to high schools
