Recently my brother, Brandon was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma 25/07.. we have been in limbo ever since.
As most of you will already know, Brandon is a full time wheelchair warrior, requiring 24hour care for his quadraplegic, cerebral palsy.
What started this off was .. One day I was getting him dressed and noticed a huge swelling on his neck, prompting me to get him to the doctors, resulting in a biopsy. Once the biopsy was done, before the results were even back the doctors said they have seen this before, they are confident its cancer and sent him home to wait for a scan.
No advice on how to manage his symptoms,
no professionals to talk to about it..
nothing.
At first he took it really well.. had the attitude of 'its cancer'.. but I'll beat it..' 'cancer won't kill me.. my sister will'..
Now we have a date for the CT scan and going to be getting to grips with the full extent of this cancer it's really hitting him. I think he's had too much time to dwell on 'its cancer'.. 'how bad' 'what stage' 'has it spread' is all he's thought about for the past 16+ days and it's really ground him down.
All I wanna do is make him happy these next few weeks and take his mind away from the road he COULD be facing.. until we KNOW the road he's facing..
when we HAVE a plan ..
Treatment options
Medication
Oncologist to speak to
..and a sense of direction!!
My plea to you is for a little bit of money.. I know times are HARD for everyone, anything would be appreciated massively by Brandon and the people around him.. those who are trying so desperately hard to turn his frown upside down every day ❤️
I'm hoping Brandon can use it to go towards a few day trips.
He seems to be happier out of the flat so I really hope to take him to a zoo.
I will keep everyone informed on the progression and battle with this cancer. I'm sure he will be keeping his Facebook up to date with everything too ❤️
Even if you can't spare a penny right now please come along for the ride ❤️
He's gonna need some cheerleaders x
