Hey friends! Many of you know that our best boi, Boone, has fought his way through numerous surgeries and cancer over the course of his life.

I don’t really know how to ask for help in this way for myself, but I can for him.

Boone has made and continues to make our family, a family. He’s been by our side, comforting us and making us laugh for 4 beautiful years. And we’ve been by his to snuggle and care for him as he’s recovered from several surgeries over the years.

This past year has been a difficult one for us financially (and emotionally, physically, mentally, ) and we hate that it’s even a consideration that we have to worry about how far we can take his treatments because of something like money. But here we are.

His last surgery, in October 2020, removed over 50 small tumors. Several of which were cancerous.

Today, the number of tumors that have recurred are far less. However, they’ve begun to pop up in new areas around his body, which makes surgery a bit more invasive, and preventive care more important.

Thanks to the incredible Dr. Hershey at Integrative Veterinary Oncology, we’ve learned that Boone is a candidate for the Torigen autologous cancer vaccine, an immunotherapy post surgery to help delay or prevent further tumor recurrence and/or metastases.

We want to take advantage of this for him, but can’t do so responsibly from a financial standpoint without some help.
