Boomer’s New Leash On Life
Donation protected

Boomer, aka Alex, was found emaciated and in dire straits on the streets of South Korea. With only 10 days left before he would be euthanized, a rescue shelter intervened and brought Boomer and 6 other lucky puppies to safety. Upon examination, Boomer was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia, a right-sided CCL tear, and grade 2 patella luxation. He will be undergoing surgery and will require 12 weeks of rehab therapy. After completing rehab, Boomer will have a full right hip replacement surgery followed by another 8 weeks of therapy. We hope that after these extensive treatments, brave Boomer will finally have the new lease on life he deserves. Though his road to recovery is long, we are committed to helping this resilient pup heal through rehabilitation and live his best life.
Update: Boomers surgery went well. We were relieved to find out the his CCL was intact so he only needed to have the patella surgery. Once that’s healed we move forward to the hip replacement. Thank you for your support.
Update: Boomer is doing real well. We’re able to take 10 minute walks 3 times a day and handling that well. He starts PT next week and we’re looking forward to that. Again, thank you and I’ll keep you posted.
Update: Boomer went in today for his total hip replacement. We were pretty excited knowing he was on his next step to recovery. Unfortunately, during surgery his femur broke and needed additional surgery. This setback is going to require longer recuperation time and a lot more rehab. We’re hoping for a full recovery so he can enjoy the life he so deserves.
Any support for his rehab would be greatly appreciated. Boomer deserves the best we can give him.
