Rest Easy Boomer Buddy

Hey Everyone,
We are heartbroken that we had to put Boomer down.
We were not prepared to put him down but when the doctors opened Boomer up for his surgery they saw that his bowels were too intertwined for him to have a successful surgery and he had to be euthanized. Once we got this news we put our donations on hold because we were reassured we would not be charged for his surgery. Since then we have received the final bill of $4,617.32 which is a lot more than we were expecting or able to handle.
We have reopened the donations since we are about halfway there. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. We are extremely grateful and touched by how quickly everyone jumped to help us out.
We will never be able to replace our baby boy Boomer.
Anything will help and be greatly appreciated!

Hey friends,
We are reaching out because our perfectly imperfect bull terrier Boomer has ingested a foreign object sometime after Christmas… (likely one of the kids toys). Boomer has not been well ever since and after beginning to vomit blood (sorry for the graphic details) we had him seen by our vet and x-rayed. Sure enough there’s an object in there that isn’t coming up on its own and is causing him to stop eating and drinking. He’s clearly uncomfortable and not at all him self. They gave him fluids along with anti nausea and an antacid with the hope he would pass it on his own. That visit alone cost $500.00.
Two days later he is still not eating or drinking and is extremely low energy. Boomer is currently at the Emergency vet in Clifton. The diagnostics there and preliminary care is already estimated to be between $1,200.00-$1,300.00. That’s with no actual procedure included.
We just received the call with the test results and recommendations and he will need to undergo surgery ($5000-$8000) since the foreign objects are lodged in his stomach and intestines and will cause a rupture if not operated on. If not removed it would be fatal.
Needless to say this is way beyond our budget, but we can’t NOT do something-
This dog means everything to us and especially our kids…
BTW We did NOT qualify for Care credit. On top of this stressful event we are in Quarantine as 3/4ths of us are battling Covid including our 5 month old.
When it rains, it pours…
We definitely could use your support to help underwrite the costs of Boomer’s care. Any donations will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks ,
