As students at George Mason University, we recognize how fortunate we are to have access to education and the resources that allow us to learn every day. That privilege has inspired the Humanity First Student Organization at GMU (HFSO GMU) to help students who share the same desire to learn but may not have access to basic educational supplies.

HFSO GMU is fundraising in support of Humanity First USA’s Masroor Ahmed School in Guatemala, with the goal of helping provide school supplies and learning materials for 300 children for an entire year. Alongside Humanity First USA, Kids 4 Humanity, and other student chapters, we hope to ensure these students have the resources they need to learn with dignity and succeed in the classroom.

Something as simple as a notebook, pencil, book, or other classroom essential can make a meaningful difference. With the right materials available, teachers can focus on teaching and students can focus on learning, participating, and growing. This initiative reflects Humanity First’s commitment to education, human dignity, and empowering communities with opportunities to build stronger futures.

As a student organization, we believe our campus community can turn our gratitude for the opportunities we have into meaningful action for others. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us closer to providing a full year of educational supplies for these 300 students.

Please join HFSO GMU in supporting Humanity First USA, Kids 4 Humanity, and the students of Masroor Ahmed School. Together, our GMU community can help give these children the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Thank you for supporting our fundraiser and helping us turn education into opportunity.
