You would think books about Cambodian politics would be published in the local Khmer language. Guess what, it's usually English. So, let’s change that. Starting with the most important book on Cambodian politics, written with the help of over 100 Cambodians.
You can give a Cambodian the book for only £4 - that's how much it costs to print a copy
Without a free press, Cambodians can't get information about politics in their own country. Having this book in Khmer changes that.
Here's our target - 500 books
The book is 'A Tiger Rules the Mountain - Cambodia's Pursuit of Democracy'. I wrote the English version and Sok Saren and May Titthara have written the Khmer version, and they're helping distribution.
Printing 500 will cost £2000 - that's our first milestone. You can help us reach it.
Praise for the book
- "Extraordinarily compelling” - Al Jazeera
- "a must read, remarkable” - Cambodian Professor Ear Sophal of Arizona State University
- "a riveting narrative of Cambodia's politics" - Cambodian Dr. Im Soksamphoas, Director of Asian Studies Center at Michigan State University

The photos you see are of me giving books to the people who helped write it. Imagine giving it to them in their own language.
I've paid £4000 from my own pocket for the translation and design/layout. Now you can help put it in the hands of Cambodians.
