Tax deductible
Many Liberian children have no access to education.
Hawazoe (Zoe) Robinson wants to change that. Zoe is an American born in Liberia; who fled that country during its civil war in the early 80s.
As she grew and loved her home in the US, Zoe maintained a connection to the family she left in Liberia.
A few years ago, Zoe’s father passed away, leaving Zoe land and buildings. (one being the house Zoe grew up in). After her father’s death, Zoe went to Liberia to visit the property. She had no idea what to do with her inheritance until she saw school-age children playing on her property. When asked why they were not in school, they replied their family could not afford to send them to school.
In that moment, inspiration struck. Zoe decided to convert one of the buildings into a free Christian school for these needy children. For Zoe, the school was an important expression of her faith. By bringing love, understanding, and compassion into the classroom, the school demonstrates to children (some of whose parents were on opposing sides of the civil war) that healing war wounds is possible.
With the school successfully up and running for the last four years, Zoe’s is now focused on opening a library in the second building. Zoe has spent the last year collecting donated schoolbooks, donated library books to fill her library, computers, sports equipment and many school essentials, enough to fill a shipping container!
My name is Paul Sardelli, and I think Zoe is a fantastic person. I felt moved to create this GoFundMe to pay for this overseas shipment and help Zoe work to improve the lives of needy children.
Education can help lift families out of poverty and give generations to come hope for the future. Early education is the best steppingstone to continued life success.
Please consider donating to help Zoe pay for this shipment and create a library for her students. Your donation will help create a brighter future for the children, their families and their community. Thank you for your generous support.
