Book,puzzle,game-drive for PDX kids in foster care
Donation protected
UPDATE: We've met our goal! But we haven't met the need: We are continuing to accept donations, and all money raised will go directly to awesome educational games for kiddos who are in foster care.
With the money raised, we delivered awesome boxes to more than 35 kids; there are more than 7000 kids in foster care in Oregon. I will continue coordinating with CASA, government agencies, and now hopefully some local toy manufacturers so that even more kids can benefit.
The first round was incredible! Thank you!!!

As a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), I’ve wanted to do more to help those who don’t have the resources typically provided by Portland public schools. I am grateful to work for Stumptown Test Prep, a tutoring company that strives to benefit its community, and encourages me to help the youngest members of our population both as a mentor and an advocate. Please consider supporting our drive to get books, puzzles, and learning games delivered to foster kids in Portland who are out of school during quarantine. Our goal is to raise $5000 by Mother’s Day so that we can buy a treasure trove of educational and stimulating toys for these kiddos. We’ll be purchasing from Portland’s SpielWerk Toys, who has stepped up to help in the challenge (I’ve been particularly excited about some of their puzzles that chart things like marine layers and the solar system; the magnetic alphabet and number sets bring literacy and arithmetic into the everyday). I will be coordinating with other Portland CASAs to ensure appropriate delivery of all the games we’re able to buy. We thank you in advance for your support!
