COVID-19 Tragedy - Daniella's Memory

Donation protected
On March 30, 2020, I lost my best friend Anyone that knows us knows that my Mom meant the world to me. If there was one person in this world who knows me, in and out, it was Mom. My Mom was an amazing person. Full of life and love. She had a heart of gold. She fought the coronavirus so hard, just to give us more time with her, that her heart literally gave out. She would give her last even when she didn't have it and would give even more when she 'got a little something.' She has helped and touched so many people without every truly expecting anything in return. We would have conversations about people taking advantage of her kindness and she would say to me, 'I help people because I really believe they need it, Shawnee.' Whether that was time, money, or energy. She would give it. She has instilled that in me. If you spent 5 minutes in a room with my Mom, she'd be your favorite person when you left. She left an indelible mark on this world. I pray that I can be half the person she was. There is no way that she can ever be forgotten, she meant so so much to so many people. Everyone's favorite Bookie. The matriarch of our family, immediate and extended. This place will never be the same without her. Losing our mother was sudden and tragic. My mother raised a nephew and great-nephew, one is battling the coronavirus as I write this post (18), the other is serving in the US Army (18). They have a room, when they return, her home, is their home. She continued to raise 2 other great-nephews (15, 13), and a great-niece (10) and helped support her adult great niece (20) and great great-nephew (3). Many people have reached out to offer their condolences and we are incredibly appreciative and many have asked if they can assist in any way they can. My Mother helped us and many other people, but my sister and I have helped my mother whenever possible with regard to raising them and that job is not done! We are looking to raise money to continue to support them by maintaining her home for as long as possible until we can finalize her affairs and a plan to keep the family together. We appreciate anything you can contribute.
