Hello, my name is James Brown. I'm Booker Brown's second to youngest son out of seven boys. Unfortunately, on July 18th at 8:04 pm in West Covina with his wife Jacqueline Mayfield Brown by his side on their wedding anniversary, we've lost an irreplaceable treasure within our family and those who knew him. Our father (Booker) is the foundation, the backbone and the glue that assembled his family. Beyond our family, he was also a Cal-city middle school teacher for special ed and regular classes. He also coached high school football for Jv and varsity at Mojave High School. He's also an ordained minister for the past 23 years. Pastoring at his own church for 10 years. Once his health declined, and he knew he had to step down. But, my father still wanted to give back. So he started the Booker T Brown Foundation, where he mentored, fed, clothed and sheltered people in the Mojave and Sacramento communities. Beyond the fame and notoriety, my father's character was his most significant asset and attribute I admired the most. Being the gentle giant, he left big shoes and a big shadow fill. He was treasured by many and loved by all. We as his family, plan to uphold the light to fulfill the legacy and character he left behind and instilled within us. The funds will be used for his funeral arrangements; the rest will be donated to The Booker T. Brown Foundation. Booker leaves behind His wife Jacqueline M. Brown, and his seven sons, Booker Jr, Levi Brown, Nehemiah Banks, William Johnson, Bobby Washington, James Brown, Cleo Brown. From his children produced 30 grand and great-grandchildren. He also has two older brothers in santa barbra Lorenzo Brown and Joe Brown. He also Has an older sister Joyce Brown that lives in Santa Cruz, California.
