My name is Jimmetta Carpenter and I am a writer, a freelance editor, and the creator and editor of the online magazine, Write 2 Be Magazine as well as my Write 2 Be personal blog site. I have been writing in one way or another since I was ten years old and have come close several times to getting an agent and being traditionally published but have decided that I don’t want to sit around and wait anymore for someone to say yes to my dream. I am starting this campaign to begin completing the journey of self-publishing my first three books in 2020 as well as producing my magazine in print to distribute to local libraries and subscribers. My goal is $10,000 and here is the breakdown of where the money will be going:
The editing of three novels will be a total of $2,500 (discounted rate)
Book Cover Design Artist for $1,000 (discounted rate)
The Printing of an initial run and review copies for $1000
The Rental of my writing office space for $1000
Marketing and Promotional Materials for $2,000
First print run of print Magazine copies $2,500
I will randomly select five people from those who donate to gift a personalized gift box to that will include a copy of each book and also other promotional materials (bookmarks, a T-shirt, a tote bag, and a pen) that will aid the book in its promotion. I would be so grateful for any small amount that you can donate.

However, after receiving her mother’s diary as a final gift to her, she soon realizes the depth of the secrets that she kept from her and just how devastating her lies would end up being.
The Diary: Succession of Lies is a tale of the trials of love, lust, loss, and redemption from two generations of women. While the mistress has been vilified throughout literature as a harlot and a home wrecker, The Diary is a new take on the role that a mistress plays and is a compelling and thought- provoking read that goes into truthful and oftentimes painful depth as to why a mistress stays, of whether love is present in taboo relationships, and questions whether love is enough to endure the consequences that come along with it.
