The Scholastic Book Fair was one of my favorite memories as a kid. The smell of new books and magazines, the colorful posters, sparkly pens, and bendy toys all made it a magical event. I even named my childhood cat after a poster I found at the fair! These moments have stayed with me, and I want to pass on that same joy to my students.

This year, our school is hosting its very first Scholastic Book Fair, and I want to make sure every student in my class is able to experience it fully. I remember how hard it was to see classmates who couldn't participate because they didn't have money to spend. My hope is to provide each student with enough to pick out a book or two, maybe a fun pen or poster, and feel included in the excitement.
