Building Libraries in Kenya Elementary Schools
Donation protected
Shepherd University & University of Maryland students are continuing a fundraiser to build libraries in Kenyan elementary schools. In these schools, there are 45+ students per teacher. All teaching is done on blackboards and there are no books. The $3,000 raise previously built two libraries of 2,000 books each at Mulandi and Nthuluni Primary Schools. Another $1,500 will build a library this summer, 2024. SU and UMD students travel to Kenya each year on study abroad programs taking donated books with them. Your donation helps to build the physical library and buy additional books. The needs are significant as we try to build another library each year. Your donations will make a difference. THANK YOU TO ALL OUR PAST DONORS! YOU are doing wonderful things for Kenyan school children.
