Today I received some bad news about my best girl... my soul dog. As many of you know, I love Boogs with every fiber of my being. Boogs started to have quick, shallow breathing this past week, and I got her a vet appointment as soon as I could. I was hoping for a simple upper respiratory infection that could be cured with a round of antibiotics.

Unfortunately, it’s bigger than that—Boogs has developed a heart murmur, and her mitral valve isn’t working as it should. Essentially, Boogs isn’t getting the oxygen that she needs in order to be comfortable. In order to treat this with medication, we have to see how advanced her condition is. Boogs needs an echocardiogram in order for us to see where she’s at and what kind of medication she can be put on at this stage. I am asking my animal-loving friends that know how much this dog means to me if they can help out in any way to take some of the burden off financially. I have a chest xray on Tues that will cost around 732.00 and I have requested an October 9 echocardiogram and hope that I can come up with $950 to cover it combined it’s around 1700 needed ……I appreciate each and every one of you, and anything helps at this point.
