Myth's Top Surgery & Job Loss Recovery Fund
Donation protected
We did it. They're gone.
No more slouching my shoulders to hide my chest. No more feeling weird about myself any time I get dressed. The distress my chest brought is finally replaced with a peace I don't know how to describe. This feels like the first day of the rest of my life.
Recovery is going super well. Got my drains out only five days in. Beyond happy with the results so far and can't wait to see how my scars settle in. Not having to stress about money right now is a huge reduction in recovery stress and so really it's thanks to all of you that things are going so well.
Thank you again, so extremely much, to everyone who donated, shared the fundraiser, or even just gave me words of encouragement. You made a significant difference in my life and I'll never forget that. ❤️

Note: I removed all the previous text now that the fundraiser's over because believe it or not I'm actually super shy about sharing personal financial and mental health info publicly. Shocker, I know, given how open and brazen this fundraiser and the posters were. I knew if I was going to raise the funds I had to be honest and vulnerable, though. Really, thank you for all the compassion and understanding you've all given me during what would have otherwise been a much more stressful time. I feel less anxious about asking for what I need in future situations, and just extremely grateful and lucky. This time next year I should be in better shape financially and able to pay forward the kindness and generosity I received.
If you came here hoping to donate, please consider donating to other local fundraisers or organizations. ❤️
