My best friend’s puppy, Boo, needs surgery so she can walk again. This past Sunday, Boo fell and fractured her tibial tuberosity, making her unable to walk. She is the sweetest puppy who has been a light in my friend Julia’s life after having a really rough year.

Julia has been working so hard to pay off vet expenses already, after only two weeks ago her other dog, Funion, was rushed to the emergency room for an unexpected heart condition. Funion was diagnosed with a mitral valve prolapse and just started medication to keep him out of congestive heart failure. Julia has already been struggling with Funion’s office visits and new monthly medication costs, while still in the process of seeing more specialists and running more tests as this just happened so recently.

Now with Boo’s unexpected accident, a $5000 surgery has added to Julia’s stress and left her feeling hopeless to get out of this rut. Julia is a Reiki-certified massage therapist who has dedicated her entire career to helping and healing others. When she’s not helping her clients, she is with her animals.
