Bonnie's Transition Fund

My name is Bonnie, I am a transwoman and cartoonist living in Chicago IL, and this is my general transition fund. It was set up for FFS that I received in August of 2021, I have more surgeries planned and it makes sense to turn it into a general transition fund instead of making a new one. This campaign has also been used to cover the cost of my laser hair removal. I've set up a savings account to transfer any Gofundme funds received. Surgery is expensive, taking time off to heal is expensive, and prepping for surgery is EXPENSIVE! Luckily my upcoming procedure is covered by insurance (yay!) but I was unexpectedly let go from my job as part of a mass layoff.

I am getting a breast augmentation in December, and I believe this will be my only shot. I am able to continue my insurence coverage though cobra, but it will only be subsidized by my former employer until September. After which my premiums are going to be very expensive. I don’t want to risk my surgery not being covered, so I think continuing with cobra is the safest bet. I would rather pay $4,200 then they $30,000-$60,000 the surgery would cost. I am not expecting the fund to fully cover my expenses but any amount given will help make this whole process a little more comfortable for me. I deeply appreciate any support given <3
