Bonnie’s Legacy: Scholarship for Nurses Battling Cancer

During her life, Bonnie Tebo was an inspiration to her family and the countless people she touched. To know her was to be forever changed - her wit, her joy, and her incomparable tenacity inspired anyone who was lucky enough to cross her path. Forever the fighter, she took on a 26-year cancer battle with the grace befitting an angel of her caliber. She turned her experience as a patient during treatment into resolve and began a storied career as an oncology nurse. In this role, as with every role she played in life, she gave her heart fully and changed the world in kind.

As one of the many legacies she leaves behind, she established a scholarship fund in her name. The mission of the Bonnie Jo Tebo Scholarship Fund is to empower aspiring nurses who have battled cancer or cared for their child or spouse battling cancer by providing financial support to help them earn their nursing degrees. The fund is dedicated to uplifting these future healthcare heroes, who bring a unique and deeply personal perspective to the profession, as they resiliently transform their passion for helping others into a meaningful career.
