Hi everyone, Bonnie is an 8 month old border collie pup, She is normally a cheeky, funny pup, who's full of mischief and energy and loves her food, her toys and her walks, she loves life and enjoys it to the fullest.
Sadly, although being properly vaccinated against Parvovirus, she has contracted it and is currently fighting for her life. There is no cure for Parvo and it is highly contagious and deadly in dogs, especially puppies. Because of this the treatment can only be supported by 24 hour veterinary care. This intensive care and all the medication and supplies, like IV fluids, anti-biotics, anti-sickness, pain medication and veterinary PE, etc, can become very costly very quickly.
Sadly, our veterinary clinic although excellent doesn't offer overnight care so we are having to transport her between two different veterinary practises, one for day time care, and one for night, both having individual fee's. (The two practises are around 10 miles apart)
It is currently costing us approx, £1300+ per night for the night time care. She has stayed in for 3 nights so far and around £1700+ for the day time care where she has also been for 2 days and we don't know how long this will go on for with the cost mounting.
We have her insured but sadly it only covers up to £1000. So we are struggling and worried about finding the money to make sure she can be treated and cared for as long as she needs to beat this virus and we are worried about having to make a decision on her care/life based on financial reasons. It is heart breaking watching your beautiful little baby struggle fighting for her life with the vet suggesting different care approaches while you're worrying what the cost might be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and each donation will be a hug and kiss for her!
Thank you!
All raised funds will be used solely to pay for her vet bills, invoices will be provided if needed!
