Bonnie Peyton
Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.
Back in 2013 this beautiful woman was diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell lung cancer. It was stated by her doctor she had at most 5 years to live, though most only survive 3. At that point she started receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatments in hopes to reduce the tumors. Later on that year 2 tumors (1 above the lung and 1 near the heart) were removed in hopes to place the Cancer into remission. This did slow the cancer down but did not stop it. Then a few days ago the doctors gave Bonnie a diagnosis of 2 days to 2 weeks tops as the cancer has spread to her stomach and throughout the rest of her body.
She spent her life surrounded by animals and loved to travel. She was a veterinarian assistant for a number of years before the diagnosis and has been on disability ever since. No matter the time or distance her door was always open to help. I spoke to her when I needed help with my cat. She very patiently walked me through what needed to be done and what to expect throughout the process. Every time I spoke with her she never mentioned the cancer and what it was doing to her. She spoke with optimism and hope when the subject was brought up. Bonnie was unhappy staying in one area as she loved to travel, and was absolutely devastated. "Cancer is a thief" she said, she really wanted to live out her days traveling and spending time with family.
The funds requested are just for the funeral costs that she reluctantly asked for and will be managed by her brother Herman. There is an urgency for this gofundme and any help, even a small amount, would go a long way.
