Bonnie our 4.5 year old sausage dog has suddenly lost the use of her back legs and cannot walk. The vets think it is IVDD which sausage dogs are prone to getting. She will have to have surgery as she is getting worse every day. We are responsible dog owners and we have insurance for bonnie. We had a £2500 limit for treatment on our insurance and 5 week ago she developed bladder stones and had a stone taking up 95% of her bladder. She had to have surgery to remove this as well as be on a drip in the days leading up to the surgery to ensure her kidneys were functioning well enough for the surgery. The vet bill came to £2350. The insurance paid out less the excess but it has left us with only £150 for the rest of the year for further claims. We simply cannot afford to pay for the treatment and we are out of the area for help from PDSA and RSPCA we really don't know what to do to help her. She is an amazing dog and has already been through so much the last few weeks we don't want to see her suffer any longer. Please help even just a small amount.
